I guess I'm a little shocked that you are suggesting people not to buy it when I know you haven't read it. He goes through step by step on how to do your on page SEO, where to get content written, how the content needs to be constructed and then where to get the right links that will help you. If you do things correctly, they can work very quick. I created a site two weeks ago that is already #9 for an exact match of 18,000. Please don't advise people not to do something that you haven't even truly looked at.

New sites get a sort of honeymoon showcase spell, then they sink or swim. I have registered EMD names and put up sites on them staightaway that go front page in a week... then page 2... then page 10. So definitely look long term.
