Hi All,

I have a suspicion this must have been asked before but this mobile lark is really making my brain hurt so please go easy on me.

I have a website that ranks number 1 on Google in a highly competitive market (training) as a result of six years optimisation. I'm terrified to touch anything on it in case I inadvertently de-optimise it. However, it looks awful in a mobile.

I don't want to re-optimise it for mobiles in case that makes it drop in the search ranking for PCs. So I've registered the .mobi TLD.

I've been told that Google detects the browser in use and serves up results accordingly. Is it true that the mobile index is different from the website index? Will I have to re-optimise all over again with my .mobi site?

Any advice gratefully received.

Kind regards
