    Default Best Mobile Site Builder

Would be interested in what you folks think is the best mobile site builder.

I'm using mobisitegalore. It's dead easy to use. OK the end result is not awesome but isn't that the whole idea. Produce something simple with one clicks to get everything the user needs. I download the site so can change any code which is handy (mind I am no code expert but you can add bits for seo etc)

Gomobi looks good but there are compliance problems by the look of it.

Any comments on your experiences with site builders appreciated.

Hi Si have a look at this mobi site builder guide on mashable.com

    http://mashable.com/2009/11/26/mobile-web-design/

I think there is a related thread somewhere on this forum.

    There's also this http://mobiforge.com/forum/developin...ebsite-creator

    Or http://spyrestudios.com/10-great-too...-of-your-site/

    Default Best mobile sites builders

I could recommend 2 mobile sites builders:

    1. Mobtron.com - one of the best builders. Has drag-and-drop creation web interface, also mobile builder version. A lot of useful features -much more than mobisitegalore. Also own domain using is allowed, unlimited space. One more important thing - ALL features are for free. No premium paid plans. Allows integration of ads networks like Admob
    2. Wapego.com - good builder also. It doesn't look very professional and haven't web interface, still it is one of the best tools for community sites creation I have ever seen. With hundreds of small and very useful community features, like setting moderators statuses and so on.

It will all depend on what your building your mobile website for.

If it is just for personal use then the template sites you mention are great.

If its for a business then the template sites is like putting your business on Google blogger and not such a good idea as you want to get all the credit and link juice from the serps and not give it to someone else.

Not such an issue when you only get a few visitors but when you start getting a few thousand and not getting any of the credit for it then you will be kicking yourself for giving it away to someone else.

I'm keeping my god shut too lol I know of a few things on the roadmap for the next version and know of a few things they're looking into for the version after that.

GoMobi is suited from small to medium sized business but gives developers and more advanced users a framework to build even greater things on. It gets my vote, good luck to them at the MEFFY.s on the 7th!

I'm testing something. It's got an affiliate link involved so I may have to do the review on my blog since we don't do that sort of thing here on the forum. I like the GoMobi interface and if Andy and Noonoo are happy then I'm sure I would like it. My only experience was with a registrar that didn't answer my support requests, so I didn't get to test it properly.

    Noons/Andy

When these upgrades eventually happen, do people who have a gomobi account automatically upgrade/migrate to this new platform?

As Noo says it's all automatic from an end user point of view.

The goMobi setup assistant that all registrars and resellers give their clients access to is hosted by goMobi so the magic happens without anyone having to lift a finger.

@scandi that is a top idea! It would demonstrate how multi-faceted it is and be pretty cool too. +Rep!

Has anyone done a comparison on goMobi, Mobi Site Galore and Wapple for example?

    Smile Google Sites

Not sure if this was already posted:

“Mobile”-ize your business with Google Sites
    Wednesday, June 29, 2011 | 6:00 AM

A poor mobile web experience can negatively shape a consumer’s opinion of your brand or your company altogether. In a recent study, we found that 61% of users are unlikely to return to a mobile site that they had trouble accessing from their phone, and 40% go to a competitor’s. By the end of this year, more than half of all Americans will own a smartphone. Your customers are mobile, are you?

Today, we’re excited to announce a brand new tool to help your business get “mobile”-ized: Google Sites mobile landing pages. With Google Sites mobile landing pages, you can build yourself a professional mobile landing page in minutes, for free -- and without any coding experience.

Why use Google Sites mobile landing pages?

    • It’s easy. Creating a Google Site is as easy as editing a document, which means there's no markup language for you to learn -- just get started.
    • It’s free. Google Sites is one of many free products offered by Google.
    • It’s measurable. One-click Google Analytics integration allows you to monitor your site's traffic.
    • It’s fast. Create your mobile landing page in minutes by starting from one of five pre-loaded templates. You can also start from scratch with the custom template.

Some information about the 1.4 version being released on the 10th July 20011.

I have had a play with the test version, this is because I'm a reseller for gomobi.

Huge improvement and I'm very impressed with it!

    What's New?

Here's a quick list of just a few of the new features and improvements:

    Major new features:
    • Analyze traffic with complete site analytics
    • Create and print a QR Code-enabled marketing flyer
    • Upload images to a new hosted image gallery

    Enhancements to existing features:
    • More icon sets
    • Support for multiple locations and coupon codes
    • Better social network support (especially on higher end devices)
    • Ability to connect with popular location-based services (foursquare, Facebook Places, Google Places, Yelp and Gowalla)
    • Improved color choices for backgrounds and text/titles
...and many more fixes and enhancements.

In a way Google Mobile Sites can help increase .mobi domain name sales as people just might want their mobile sites to have a clean name instead of the google sub domain. Now is the time and opportunity for mTLD to get out of it ego-sh*t filled underwear and forge an alliance with Google to link up easy mobi domain registrations for Google mobile landing pages. But I know that MTLD will not do it it will like to stink more

    Default Best Mobile Site Builder

Mobile has changed how customers interact with businesses. Only businesses that are able to provide a great mobile experience will be successful in this new market. We are delighted to be partnering with cPanel as we roll out goMobi to the hosting industry. cPanel, it is launching an enhanced version of goMobi, which offers a range of new templates, the ability to create custom forms, video content embedding and integration with m-commerce solutions like PayPal and Google Checkout.

The mobile site builder should have various tools for you to use when constructing your website. But the first and most important tool should be a large selection of templates. They should vary is style, color and design. If you’re opening a restaurant, you may want a different style of mobile landing page than if you are opening a local news outlet.
