    Default The Emergence of Mobi

I just got the following article link mailed to me via site-reference.com
    The Emergence of Mobi
It is a bit strange, how can mobi be emerging now ?? It is diversifying - at-least that was what I thought!
The good thing is that the site news letter by site-reference.com gets mailed to millions of web addicts / developers. Even while the article was pushed in just to have the author s site linked, the article sould be good enough to generate more mobi awareness

I was just about to post this myself. It's written by the vice president of a Web design company, so I think it holds a bit more influence than other similar things I've seen. Interesting quote from the article:

Watch for the Mobi domain to be assimilated, like a new Borg, into the Web 3.0 universe as faster, better "re-purposing algorithms" tailor single Web pages for viewing on multiple devices. There is too much waste involved in keeping things separate. Convergence doesn't just refer to TVs turning into PCs. It means media will be adapted to whatever device you are using to read, play or watch it. Exciting times are ahead!

A good article but tell me if i'm wrong.

Google and all the others do not have a stake in .mobi anymore.

Yeah, he may not be up to date on that stuff...then again, I don't really know what the situation is either. I don't think there's been anything official saying that none of them are somehow invested anymore...

I believe it ! Im currently an active member of the biggest adult industry board in the world where webmasters the past week have been advising everyone to secure there .mobi names and use them. So if you get a cheap offer for a generic mobi dont accept it because most of these webmasters are millionaires.

Adult led the way to the PC internet, as I understand it.

To the OT, it seems Mobi has been hiding under a rock since SEDO III, "emergence" may be the right term.
