Press Release Resources

I did a quick search of mobility but could not find anything dealing with press release resources.......issuing a free press release would be a simple and easy way to spread the word about our developed sites.

I know several members have already issued some of their own....it would be great to make this thread a list of various methods/resources/sites that members recommend.

For starters, I have been checking out PR.com. Anyone have any experience with it (good or bad)?

Input on any other effective press release tools would be greatly appreciated!

Jeff, I've written press releases for several members here, and we had very good luck with PRWeb.com. One person had the same amount of traffic as when his site was on the apple apps page, and another reported 25,000 backlinks.

It's important to know that some free services can be shady and run your competitor's businesses on adsense under your press release. It's important to select a service that gets your message on to Yahoo news and Google news - not all of them do that.

I met with an account exec at Marketwire couple weeks ago, can give info to anyone interested.

MarketWire just sent me some info today as well. The Account Rep claims they are better than PRWeb, and at those prices I think they should be. I'll look into it more.

I've used them multiple times. I've seen greater return from them as they do keep your press releases in archive (I still a handful of visitors to ideaearth from 1888 press releases over 6 months old). I can't say that about some of the others I've used
