SMS Blocking

I need to stop receiving SMS from specific number for a while. I son;t need to have support from network provider since I'm not going to keep this for a long time. Blocking the number only stops receiving calls, not SMS. Does anybody know how to what I want to do?

I think that mobile operator can do it for your phone number
