I think maybe we should make a Sticky for minisites, it seems other forums are doing this.
I know there is a conflict with developed sites but they are end game sites, such as debt.mobi, lodging.mobi, spa.mobi
Rather than park my names i would rather build minisites with ads and try and make a few quid.
It has 3 pages at the moment but it only took an hour and doesnt look too bad. It automatically switches to mobile when detected.
On the front page i have put a 2d bar code so you can snap it with your phone if you want and get the link on your mobile that way.
I have also put linked adds in the brief description of this site so when viewed on mobile the links can still be clicked on, anyway this is my first minisite.

VanHire.mobi (http://vanhire.mobi)

HotelsOnline.mobi (http://hotelsonline.mobi)

The mobile google ads at the bottom of my pages that show up on my mobile are .mobi, so hey thats great news!

That's a great idea instead of parking your mobi domains.

I am doing the same thing with mines until I'm plan for them.

Go for it MWS, it's the way forward if not fully developing.

If it's good enough for the big guns(.com) it's good enough for us.

And thanks to those of you that pm'ed and emailed me stating they think it's a great idea, it's much appreciated.

Great initiative and good point noonoo1 - .mobi names can deliver BOTH mobile and PC sized content and ads. Imagine that ! ... all you non-believers out there.

http://Shakespeare.mobi added, I'm not so sure on the layout, perhaps something abit lighter. I have added the comedies first. This will be a big database.

I see this one has a mobile template as well. On the PC site the text is difficult to read with that light gray on a white background. What is the purpose of having the text as a link to nowhere? Are you hoping for better indexing?

Just checked my stats for the first of the minisites http://vanhire.mobi for this month.

The site was visited via google 153 times, this is very good news to me.

Thats 300 page views this month so far.

Not bad for a minisite.

You might need to get a new theme for that site because theme that you are using has a link that goes to MFA site. This might get your site penalized for linking to bad neighborhood.
