I'm stumped on some research.

Does anyone know the average customer acquisition cost for registered users on a mobile website?

If you don't know, do you know where I could find the info?

Your help, and any pointers, would be most appreciated.

I would like some clarification on your inquiries...

Are you wanting to know what the cost would be for having someone build a .mobi website?

Or are you inquiring about existing mobile sites.

There are many developers on this forum. Some will take on projects for clients. Others build sites and then sell the site. Some do both.

Pricing will vary.

But I can say without any reservation that the most skilled and talented individuals are on this forum.

Pricing will vary from developer to developer and will typically depend on the complexity of the site.

You can also learn to build your own.

Again, welcome to mobility.

I assume that the question is how much will one mobile site customer cost as in internet world the is average visitor/customer conversion ratio 2.75% and the cost to get the visitor depends on your addword competion between 20 cents to $5, or alternativly investment to the SEO specialist.
Mobile ads will cost still much less (20 pence average) as there isn't much competion same time the number of visitors is still extremly low.
And interesting that not much visitors are willing to click to the banner ad (have had around 3500 ad views since my blog launch wap.mobiblogi.com around five months ago and had two clicks only, same time Im running internet sites with 4.5% of click thru rate.
Offline marketing works still fine so if you will get some article about your mobile service, or will introduce it in Barcelona GSM world, Im sure that you will get at least competition to check out your site.
