Default Using goMobi for a number of local businesses

    Hi,

I am interested in using GoMobi to set up mobile websites for a number of local businesses in my community.

Does anyone know if it's possible for me to set up a number of different businesses (like 15-20), and just use a different account/username for each one (I'd have to pay a separate fee of course - but would using the same credit card cause a flag and stop me in my tracks)?

Or would I have to become a 'reseller' for goMobi, which looks like a complicated affair. Any cautions, things to be aware of, be careful of, etc?

I was going to ask them directly, but their contact form appears to be for reseller applications only. Thank you for any and all advice

    Hi Greg,

If you track down a user here called 'SocialTraffic' and talk to Simon there he will be able to help you as he has a direct connection into mTLD's goMobi provisioning and configuration API's; he's a good guy and a pleasure to do business with.

With them you'll be able to have one account, one username and password, one billing agreement and as many sites as you need under your account; each goMobi site can either be administered with your main account password and a separate client / staff log in can also be set.

Dealing with mTLD direct will require much higher volumes than you're predicting and I'm sure most goMobi resellers can sort you out with what you need but I know Simon, can vouch for him being a good egg, know he's connecting direct and without saying too much I know his platform (really) rocks!

Oh, and a big welcome to Mobility!

    Default Online demo site

    Hey Andy,

Thanks so much for the great info! And a pleasure to meet you as well.

If you don't mind another quick question (if you prefer I make it a separate post, I'd be happy to):

Do you know of any (preferably free) online demo/emulator sites where I can get a sample mockup of a local business website 'before mobile website/after mobile website setup' ?

i.e., there are plenty of emulators out there showing how a web site currently looks on various devices; so far the only site i've found that shows a sample 'after' pic when entering a given URL is at Dudamobile, and it's quite limited as far as colors, templates etc.

Any suggestions on that are greatly appreciated! Again, thanks for your response and have a great day

    Greg

    Hi again Greg,

The best thing I can think of is screen shotting some images on a mobile device to show folks how poor their site is on mobiles. As for then showing them a mock up, you could get a free trial for each user you want to sign up and mock them up a very quick goMobi site.

Am sure some other folks here might be able to chip in with some ideas too.....

    Cheers

    Hi Jon,

Thanks very much, I did email one of the resellers a couple of days ago but still no response, so I really appreciate you reaching out to me.

My main two questions are, #1 can i just use one account/billing credit card for a number of different local business websites (probably around 10-14); these are not sites I own, but these are business associates who would like me to build a mobile site for them.

#2, the price appears to be $5.99/month but I can't find any additional info on pricing. Is that an annual pre-paid rate? Is it possible to pay quarterly or even monthly, and if so, are those rates different? I'm assuming that it is $5.99 per website on my account, or $59.90/month for 10 websites?

Thanks again for any and all help, it looks like a great product!

    Greg

p.s. any ideas on an online site that's good for building mobile website mockups, so I can show proposed layouts to these business people, would be greatly appreciated also. (Dudamobile's is a bit simplistic and limited, in my opinion).

    Hi Greg,

I am going to preface this by letting you know that goMobi is a product that we sell out to companies who then resell it to their customers. So what you are asking me I will ultimately have to defer to the reseller you are working with. Sorry I can't be of more direct help.

#1. I don't see why not, when I got into reseller hosting packages (in my prior life) I had that same set up, however it is up to you then to either integrate a payment method from your customer to you, its up to you how you work that out.

#2. It looks like you are getting this pricing from one of our authorized resellers, you will have to confirm with them on how they charge. I am sorry but goMobi products aren't priced per goMobi, they're priced per the reseller.

PS: I do not know of one, however once you get a goMobi set up you can provide demos to your customers via webex to show how the builder works.
