    Cool, thanks for sharing!

I use utorrent occasionally.... not sure I'd be comfortable using on my iPhone though... wonder how safe it is?

If it becomes a runaway success, that sure will raise the profile of .mobi. Good luck!

DomainTools says that utorrent.com gets 1,081,649 U.S. visitors per month.... so, this is great exposure for .mobi no doubt.

Sent them a message regarding safety and iPhone:
The application is very safe for any mobile phone who uses it, although it's user based there is only media content available.

We are now working on few upgrades to the application which allow it to work on the iphone.
I use torrents to get radio shows (mainly international) and podcasts that I've missed, so this will be handy for me to have whilst on the go.

Where do I start with my torrent of rage?

    Music piracy?
    Copyright theft?
Yeah, it's a big problem that the music industry needs to sort out but it's not just with torrents. One example just search for any copyrighted song on YouTube...

I believe this is just a torrent client and they do not host any copyrighted content.

It's up to users what they want to share and download, at their own risk of copyright prosecution. So beware people!

It can also be used for good, e.g.

    • Blizzard Entertainment uses BitTorrent (via a proprietary client called the "Blizzard Downloader") to distribute most content for World of Warcraft, including the game itself.[17]
    • Many software games, especially those whose large size makes them difficult to host due to bandwidth limits, extremely frequent downloads, and unpredictable changes in network traffic, will distribute instead a specialized, stripped down bittorrent client with enough functionality to download the game from the other running clients and the primary server (which is maintained in case not enough peers are available).
    • Many major open source and free software projects encourage BitTorrent as well as conventional downloads of their products (via HTTP, FTP etc.) to increase availability and to reduce load on their own servers, especially when dealing with larger files.[18]
    • Entropia Universe also begun distributing the client file(s) through BitTorrent.

    • The UK government used BitTorrent to distribute details about how the tax money of UK citizens was spent.[19][20]

    • Facebook uses BitTorrent to distribute updates to facebook servers.[21]
    • Twitter uses BitTorrent to distribute updates to Twitter servers.[22]
So this could be huge for the future of the mobile web!

    For those who don't know:
BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file-sharing protocol used for distributing large amounts of data. BitTorrent is one of the most common protocols for transferring large files, and it has been estimated that it accounts for roughly 27-55% of all Internet traffic (depending on geographical location) as of February 2009.
