CheckPR.mobi - Mobile PageRank Checker

Hey Folks,

This is another one of those quick "if you can't find it, build it!" sites like whoiz.mobi.

As the name implies, it's a quick Google PageRank checker that will also detect fake PR. I needed a quick PR checker for mobiles and couldn't find one, so I quickly put this one together today.

It currently only works for domains, but works for any extension.

It's fast, simple, and to the point. It's based off of the simple Whoiz.mobi template and also makes use of the direct URL access so you can check the PageRank for any domain quickly and easily by adding it after the slash, such as:

http://CheckPR.mobi/mobility.mobi

As always, it scores a 5/5.

Test it out and let me know if you find any bugs.

Funny...i have a fake pagerank on my autotest2009.mobi ..
I have not a clue how to fake a pagerank ... but probably I've found a way to succeed hehe..

It says officialmp3s.com has fake pr.

Some tools say zero, others 5.

I've 301'd all the artist network sites, could that be triggering the fake notice?

PageRank is generally considered "fake" if the site being measured redirects to another site where it gets its juice from. One way to test for this is to see Google's "info:" for the site and see if it matches the domain being queried or the domain being forwarded to.

In the case of OfficialMP3s.com, Google's "info:" is actually displaying OfficialMP3s.mobi, and hence why its PR is considered "fake": http://www.google.com/search?q=info%3Aofficialmp3s.com

On the other hand, OfficialMP3s.mobi has a PR5: http://checkpr.mobi/OfficialMP3s.mobi

The reason it's important to test for fake PR is because any domain can get a PR10, for example, by simply doing a 301 redirect to Google.com and therefore getting Google's juice, but it's not "real" PR as far as Google is concerned.

High Andy, The most common method of obtaining a fake pr is to redirect an already exsisting pr site to the new site. The redirect will transfer to the new site but only temporarly (until the next pr update)

Really nice tool. Instead of logging in all those advert hound sites , we now get to check pr in a tidy environment. Repped.
Why not add alexa, quantcast, compete rank, google backlinks etc etc checking alongside ?? It wont kill the neatness that very much

However, the .com only redirects to the .mobi when a mobile device is detected. Hmmmm.

Still, PR5 on something fairly new isn't to be sniffed at...
