There's no such site which will provide u a delivery report.
U can only send the smsm but there's no way to check at your end if the person has recieved it or not unless you know the person.

Had a break, too much emphasis on .mobi names and not enough on .mobi development here for my liking plus I was against it with a huge project and needed to focus on that and not lose time in forums.

Time works so well on so many levels! Good to see things moving in more of a development direction!

Saw this thread, noticed it was lacking in fact and value and thought I must have been missed around here as nobody else had picked up on it.



Points:

@morency - the best sms company on the face of the planet in my opinion of www.mxtelecom.com - I use them for stanard rate bulk sms, premium sms and pay for it, the mobile billing interface that works on mobile and desktop sites.

Bulk sms delivered with seconds, premium sms and charge to account yields payouts.

You can also trust www.mBlox.com to deliver - not one I've used myself but out of all the names in SMS here in the UK those are the two I have the most respect for.

@eman2me - nothing looks more half baked and amataur than a first time post dropping a mobile number with a claim you can help and provide great rates. It's hardly the behaviour of a ftse 100 company.

Your comment here that claims there's no such thing as a delivery report is soo very wrong. I'm sorry to say but that truly is talking junk, especially so if you actually profess to be able to provide good rates on sms.

Delivery reports by sms api do exist, I've been using them for years and years from a number of providers around the globe.

MX telecom provide an optional value you can set when sending your message, then your application gets a notification request by http with a value of rejected, failed, buffered or delivered.

To claim that is impossible is misinformative. It's standard on any messaging company that knows what they're doing.

As for costings on sms, different quality aggregators, different prices. Go for the best you can afford, if you're paying 1p per message don't expect a high delivery rate or quick delivery. If you're paying 5p per message through someone great it'll be on the handset in seconds and you'll know that's the case seconds later.

Cheapest is likely to be unreliable, slow and sent via the sub-continent with no sign of delivery reports.

I think I pay 4p per message for UK termination plus VAT through MX Telecom. I've used them for years, know they deliver, know they pay and despite having a vast number of companies try to get me to jump to them over the years I've stuck as they're solid.

Andy your right in every respect, "i thought i had found the cheapest Bulk SMS agg, but yes they are cheap, and the delivery in somewhat ****e because of this, does the sms actually make it to the users phone, not sure myself.

So i wont bother posting the link.

P.S. Prefered you personal site as it was before, (you do ask!) visited quite often, enjoying read on a friday afternoon, just before getting wasted down the dog and duck.

@mobimad thanks for having my site play a little part on your pre wasted routine on a friday but in the end i got tired of blogging and wanted to trim back the fat on the site, now I've done that I actually update it more through Twitter, then the flipside is I find 140 characters doesn't make an engine capable of proper expression.

I've hand written a CMS for use on another of my projects, I might start to make use of it on my site, I'm still not happy with my site but it is getting there.

I've been there with cheap sms, even had one sales dude come to see us, once he'd gone he set me up with a demo account I tested with what at the time was a brand new and as such unknown number. It took ten minutes for the message to come through, no where near quick enough.

Worse still, about two weeks later I was sitting at the side of a fjord in Norway when I went beep on my new number. It was spam promoting a website, when I got back to the UK I did a whois to find it was owned by the company who's gateway I'd tested.

They'd spammed me, most likely about 20 minutes earlier. The SMS company in question in case anyone is wondering was 2ergo.

I'll refrain from venting at a number of text companies.......

As for Amsterdam, now you've mentioned it I'm wishing I was chilling at Hill Street overlooking the canal at the back of Damrak.......

ok guys Ive got lots of things cleared now, thanks.But one of my friend says the 3230 is not ergonomical as its keypad is not user friendly and the handset is not so gripful and call fall down easily.... what do u all say??
