Hi all,
I am running Dreamweaver 8 now and trying to learn how to produce a mobi site. (I know the basics of a regular site) but trying to experiment now with mobi compliance.
Does anyone have any templates to use? I also followed the video from dev and they had a little bit of a segmant on how to create a mobi on dr 8, but the part that through me off was the CSS sheet that they loaded up (basicly I know nothing about them but learning) Is there a place to get them on the net without building your own or to download a basic mobi template for dr8??
heres the video link that i saw about it, I think its slide 42

Thanks Again,
Brian
sorry for edit but I fogor to include the very basic site I just did, its just a very simple page with text and a sample logo
www.0-60.mobi (http://www.0-60.mobi)
There's a great, free CSS tutorial at http://www.w3schools.com/.
I think that most people suggest using separate CSS files - one for each major type of device (handheld, PC) - but some prefer only imbedding the simple CSS coding within each web page. However, to keep the .mobi page file sizes small in order to shorten downloading time, embedding all the CSS is not preferred. A nice compromise is that you can include a couple lines of CSS in your pages and most of it in the separate CSS files. That way any CSS included in the pages will override the similar-functioned CSS commands in the separate CSS files.
Once you spend some time going through that tutorial mentioned above, you will realize how simple and straightforward CSS is compared to most other coding. CSS is such an improvement over the old HTML only web page coding.

There's a template at http://dev.mobi. You can change the CSS and put in different pictures. It is a good one!

Many thanks to coast and Scandi for their help. This is what I produced so far, www.0-60.mobi (http://www.0-60.mobi) I am basicly playing around with it now and will be for the next week. But its kind of neat. Very incomplete site but hopefully I can learn more and get some of my other sites up soon with this kind of template. By the way I just added the box with the cars for effects lol I am still trying to learn how to enable each name so it brings it to a seperate page for the 0-60 times.
Thanks Again,
Brian

Defintly, I heard CS3 is awsome for that, thats my next. For Dreamweaver I highly recomend the tuturiols, thats how I learned it about 5 years ago but lost touch about 3 years ago, so I got to relearn a bit. (But it is a defintly not to hard to use program for basics and it alows advanced options ect... for the experts) But I think its neat to design sites from there if you areant a programer ect...

Have done a whopper of a Joomla site. But still learning those ins and outs also.
