Nice little .mobi article with a seemingly positive .mobi spin...and some good news coming from Network Solutions as it appears that they will be marketing the dot mobi brand.
http://www.smallbusinesscomputing.com/news/article.php/3689271

Interesting quotes from the article:

As for e-commerce capability, Grosman estimates the first dot.mobi e-commerce sites will come from Fortune 500 companies in approximately six to eight months.

I like the sound of this...

Grosman also said that he envisions a time when search engines recognize when a search is conducted on a mobile device and thus consider dot.Mobi sites as more relevant and rank them higher than sites not optimized for mobile devices. "If you were to search for 'pizza,' for example, you would get listings of sites that are dot.Mobi compliant first," said Grosman.

And good news, Network Solutions will be pimping dot mobi...!

Of course, Network Solutions offers dot.mobi domains, and starting in August, it will also offer a dot.mobi design service called Do It Myself. Customers who buy a dot.mobi domain can build a dot.mobi-compliant Web site with up to five pages – for $20 per year plus the cost of the domain.

Hey, how bad can this be...for those that don't get it yet.

Sure, it's a marketing ploy from Network Solutions, but it also offers some additional industry insight.

By the way, where's all the bad news about mobi?

That is because they are going for the exclusive market, the corporate market, and the FRESH market...

All us vets know better, but the IT guy at fortune 500 company A would hardly know any different - let alone care about OPM...

This was probably a marketing strike at Corp America...
