Should be under your CP, user options, thread display options.

User Registration Options in admin to display Linear - Oldest First should rectify it for all new users joining as there will be others that mention the thread order :)

I'll talk to Andres to change the default if possible.
Wow.. That helps SO much.
Thanks.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your input.
Thread display order is a matter of personal preference. In my opinion, for example, it's more relevant to see the current and latest discussions first (where a new user is more likely to participate) rather than old discussions. If users saw oldest first, they'd have to click all the way at the end to see the current discussion, which is a pain.
I don't mind copying what the "norm" is as long as it's practical for our users. Having said that, if more users begin to request it, I'll definitely make the change to the default.
Thanks,
Andres

AndresOK, sorry, there was a confusion about this, I got mixed up (too many late nights). I thought everyone was talking about the order of the THREADS in each sub-forum, not the order of POSTS in each thread.
THREADS should be sorted from newest to oldest, but I fully agree with iNod, Scandiman, and photoman (who just brought it my attention again), that POSTS inside threads should be sorted from OLDEST to NEWEST, with the opening post at the TOP.
Sorry about the confusion, I've already changed it for all new registrations, but I cannot do a system-wide change for all members, so you will need to manually change it yourself if you want to view threads that way. To do that, just go to User CP -> Options -> Thread Display Options -> Thread Display Mode -> Linear - Oldest first
