Hi all,

I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and to tell you a little bit about myself and why I'm here.

I live in Chicago, where I work as a search engine optimizer for a large agency. I'm responsible for both web and mobile content for our clients and have developed both processes for the agency. However, since mobile optimization is more of a nascent field than traditional SEO, I frequently share my learnings about mobile content in the mobile search engines at my mobile SEO blog (http://www.brysonmeunier.com), and at my work blog, FindResolution (http://www.findresolution.com).

I'm excited to see that you are discussing mobile SEO here and am looking forward to participating!

Best,
Bryson

Welcome Bryson. Glad to see you here. Your topic of mobile SEO is extremely important and I welcome any input you have. What I would recommend is you make a post at Mobility each time you make a blog post regarding mobile SEO to let us know about it. The more we are reminded of the topic the better.

Bryson, you are definitely a welcomed addition to mobility. Some of us (myself included) are about as green as the .mobi extension. I look forward to learning some tricks.

What I suspect is that a successful SEO campaign is dressed in overalls. But, I'm sure you can point some of us toward the enlightened path.

Welcome!

Wow. Thanks, all, for the very warm welcome. I appreciate it!

@Coast, I believe I found this forum by searching mobile SEO in Yahoo!

Happy to see such an active forum discussing the topic. Looking forward to further discussions.

Cobo, I won't be keeping that a secret. One of the most common questions I get is dotcom or dotmobi for mobile sites. I'm planning on writing a post detailing the effect on SEO, as I know people are interested. For now, though, I'll say that I think there are several reasons to acquire the dotmobi version of your brand or core keywords, even though one of those reasons is not necessarily that dotmobi is a ranking factor in mobile search. I'll explain in the mobile SEO section once the post is up.
