Some mobile browsers are starting to support javascript and ajax. Dotmobi really needs to take that in consideration. They should seriously look into updating their development standards.

Keep us informed! If mobi takes all these standards into consideration, could boost mobi uo even higher IMO. :argh:

Well, here's the thing, I don't see the base standards changing any time soon. But with Andrea Trasatti from WURFL joining mTLD, I'm thinking they have their sites set on offering better support for WURFL technologies, perhaps providing deeper deployment advice, resources and stronger documentation.
The base standards are for the default presentation. Accomodate a good 5/5 site for the default and feel free to use device detection to provide an enhanced iPhone site for those users. Feel free to pursue a full PC site if you wish, just like Mobility.mobi does. We're 5/5 mobile and we're PC. Best of both worlds.
