View Full Version : Domain Question

Alright, before i run *** and start buying domains i shouldn't, here is a question.
If a .com .net and .org all with the same name point to different places, this should make a .mobi or anything else free for the taking?

It all depends on the name. The most important factor that needs to be considered is trademark infringement (or names commonly used in the market place)
http://www.uspto.gov & google searches are great places to start before thinking about buying any domain name.

Here's something else to consider before buying domains you shouldn't: Research. Make sure the words you are considering have some financial value. Don't go crazy snapping up names that you think would make good websites. Domainers for the most part don't care about making websites, they care about selling to end users. Here's a tool you might consider (but realize every sale is different and automated estimator tools are worth what you pay for them) http://appraise.epik.com

Glad the info is helpful. By the way, whose "sworn enemy" are you? I just considered the implications of your username.
