Wow, impressive sale there. I wonder who bought it.
Number 8 is considered a lucky number, and 888 might be used for a gambling site. Thanks CD for posting!

I never understand why we Chinese spend so much money in buying just a number.

Why would Rick own that?

Owns 313 as well. He must see value in NNNs.

Why would Rick own that?

Rick owns around 100 of NNN Mobis. He owns some NNN & NNNN coms as well. If you missed it numbers are hot for him including an inquiry for 915.mobi:

http://www.ricksblog.com/my_weblog/2011/04/my-domain-inquiries-for-march-2011.html

Most people don't realize Rick has a very extensive Mobi portfolio. Flowers.mobi was just the one people remember because of the high selling price and then the low price it got when he dumped it for tax purposes.

Wow. 888.mobi sold for so much. Wonderful.

828, 808, and 818 is good too.

1 = first
2= double fast
0= again

bad number is 4 = death. Avoid the number 4.

828 = luck double luck
818 = luck first to get lucky and lucky again

Then they like any numbers of 8's. Not just 3 digits of 8's.
Car licenses in Hong Kong can be auctioned *** for lots of money.

Hey Limomobi,
Any advice on 858

:biggrin:

Any advice on 858:biggrin:"5" may not be good as it sounds like "no" in Cantonese. Then 858 becomes "Making a fortune and then not making a fortune."

On the other hand, Chinese numbers never bother me as I'm not superstitious. MY 2c.

Interesting information...

I still track names I made ***ers on over 7 years ago because the owner hasn't changed nor the use of the domain. I guess if you really like a name you hang in there...
