I read that you can pay with your iPhone or Blackberry now at Starbucks, just now when Google is coming out with NFC. What do you guys thinks.. temporary development, or here to stay?

I think NFC is the way to go and I think the big boys are going to set the standard. People just love the convenience.

Am I alone in not trusting NFC?
Sorry but I have a dark deviant side and I've been thinking it can't be too hard to come up with a gadget that gets card data over the air: just by walking past them.
Imagine how much money you could steal from unsuspecting people just walking up and down Oxford Street or around Times Square...

There are already stories about paranoid people keeping phones in foil bags to protect them from... not sure what you call it yet.

You know the easiest and cheapest solution? Just turn off your phone, or set it to Airplane mode. I use the latter option when I don't want to be bothered with incoming calls.

Yeah, but it's not like I don't want to be called... just scared of ppl snatching my info... How does it work with those foil bags?
