Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to share some of my qr code sitings around NYC. Seems like they have been popping up everywhere.

And it's so easy to create your own.

Google Chart API now generates QR Codes. Simply choose the size in pixels of your barcode and the url you wish to encode. I chose 300 x 300 and http://2d-code.co.uk/ as the url. Inserting these in the required url format gives:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=300x300&chl=http://2d-code.co.uk/

Which when you paste it into your browser address bar produces this:

The nice thing with those is you can dynamically generate them and have a script automotically put them on every site for you - like this "cheap travel" site billigreisen.mobi (http://billigreisen.mobi/) and this this geo site goettingen.mobi (http://goettingen.mobi/)

Here's one I found on a widely distributed tourist map of Paris this year.

HI happy to provide anyone with the PHP code for $10.00. Not difficult to write your own, just takes time - there is more than one provider of dynamic urls for you to access.

I have some other QR code pix somewhere, when I was looking for them I found this photo of Pred's local LOL

I'd love for someone to go do some market research on them by seeing how many don't work- or are improperly used "strategy-wise".
