Hello fellow .mobi enthusiasts;
I have recently decided to jump on the .mobi bandwagon. Over the past couple days I have read about 75% of the posts to this forum and have followed through many many links to the resources provided by the members. IMO mobility.mobi is a logical hub for anyone new to the .mobi experience.
Unlike most of the members here I am not a domainer but I am devising a campaign to have a very strong presence in the development of mobile content.
I work in the mobile application field presently and I am seeing a world of possiblity where mobile web browsing can work hand in hand with mobile applications.
I have a tendency to be a quiet member in forums but I promise I will keep you informed on the development of my project.
I suspect there will be a few here that will be quite pleased with what I plan to bring to the table as far as marketing and promotion within this technology.
Cheers!

How did I get here?
I believe it was through delicio.us bookmarks. Social Bookmarking is generally my first source for info mining.

I am working with a beta version of a new RAD platform, built on technology that is fully compliant with the open Java standards of J2ME, J2SE, and J2EE.

I always try to look at things as the glass being half full.
Therefore, if that is an offer to be the 'filling in the sandwich'?
I can do that :biggrin:

@pred:
Unless you or any other member of this forum came to this world in a shell ( egg) and
hatched into being. There are NO "chicks" in this forum--->call us Ladies
Now, I gotta run out now and won't be around to go back and forth w/ you on the matter.
So behave and don't scare the new lady member away!

Wow! This is about the best reception I have ever had in a forum.
I like it here already. Such a laid back group. No offense taken anywhere, I like the term chick lol, makes me feel young again. So I can be the 'the new chick' no problem!
I also need to clear a little misunderstanding up. I work with Rapid Application Development (RAD) software so even though I have a basic understanding of java I don't actually 'do it'. Kind of like you don't have to know how to code to use Dreamweaver but it helps to know the basics.
I am so impressed with the .mobi standards I can't even begin to tell you.
As I said in my first post my intentions are content driven. After doing some reasearch over the past week I have noticed one thing that is glaringly obvious. Web publishers are shying away from .mobi like it is a big scary monster.
My (rather ambitious) intentions are to set up a marketing system that enables web publishers to follow a simple 123 process to create, market and monetize their content all in one place.
I am looking forward to learning and sharing. I am happy to be amid so much expertise. Mobile interaction is the future of social media. I have no doubt in my mind.
