Ciao Gerry, che nomi hai?

Io ** molte citta` italiane ... :biggrin:BENE! BENE! Molto bene!

Benvenuto, amico!

I was wondering when you where going to "stumble" over here.

Yes, I know you have many Italian cities. Many, many.

I would have to go through my list again...but I have Dopo, Dino ( a type of man's name or Italian car...Massarati???), SanMarco, Doges, Dolci. By the time I got into mobi, most great Italian words were gone. Many I regged for personal reasons and not so much for the OVT or marketability. Here are some more, but not all as I am not prepared to reveal some of them...

ADRIATICO.MOBI (Adriatic)
BISCOTTI.MOBI (biscuits, crackers)
BISCOTTO.MOBI
REGATA.MOBI (regatta)
Doges.mobi
DOLCI.MOBI Sweets
Dopo.mobi later, after
Grandi.mobi Large, Huge
iCalcio.mobi (Football, soccer)
iItalia.mobi
iRoma.mobi
Ponte.mobi Bridge
Ponti.mobi Bridges
Ragu.mobi
RomaIT.mobi
SanMarco.mobi
VeneziaIT.mobi

Just recently, Lidos.mobi. There are many many more.

Please, if you are comfortable, post your Italian names with translation.

The ItalianDragon looking like Tony Soprano standing on the beaches in Austrailia!

Benvenuto!

Thanks, Gerry. I am very glad to know that I am not putting completely mistranslated nonsense on the forum!

The dominii thing did not translate very well.

I am not a native speaker but I lived there for 2.5 years in the Air Force. I still remember quite a bit of Italian. I was also art director for Frued USA, the powertool and tool manufacturer, Udine Italy based company. Most of the big wigs spoke Italian and were impressed that I did also.

Before my wife and I went 2 years ago for an anniversary trip, she learned so quickly and fluently she was mistaken numerous times for being Italian. I was not so lucky.

With my size and beard and overall big frame, I could not pass as Italian no matter what I did...I would go into a shop and speak fluent Italian and the clerk would say, "it's okay. I speak English".

CiaoHaving never owned a Maserati, I was not sure of the spelling.

But I would be more than happy to take a new Maserati/Ferrari Dino:

Because of your gracious generosity, I will never misspell Maserati again once you have delivered this to my house. Color is optional, whatever you can find available. Gratzie!

Ford I can spell.

Blue will be fine, with white stripes, and blue lights on top. That should make my 30 minute commute to work...umm, 8 minutes?

I am printing out this page to show my wife that we must honor Mother Italy and the Italian customs.

When in Rome, do the Rowomen.

Whoops, sorry...I misspelled.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
