What is your opinion of numerical .mobis - ie "2376.mobi" would spell a word from letters on a phone's key pad?

I'm not sure honestly. I've read quite a few posts about this subject but I don't have a solid opinion about it. It seems like a plausible idea considering you would be typing on your phones keypad. I think branding numbers could be more of the issue to an American audience. Though, I know in Japan numeric names are popular.
