I joined today and looking forward to really participating here. I have about 15 mobis I got during the Landrush including:
pos.mobi
hotelroom.mobi
naturalfoods.mobi
gpssytem.mobi
gpssystems.mobi
and the others are flower and natural/organic related.
I am finally getting serious about development and thinking long term because I want to be considered a smart Old Timer from back when .mobi started
I have alot of domains with about 90% .coms and the .mobis are a small percentage but hoping to add more soon while prices are good. I started buying domains seriously (outside of personal projects) about 2 years ago, after the Business 2.0 article on domainers got my attention. Guess I wasn't scared I came late to the party!
I have been working online since 1999, and playing online since 1996, but bought my first domain - Japanesefabric.com in 1999 (dropped it!!) I started as an SEO consultant in 2000, and in 2005 I teamed up with Steve Juth to release Cash Keywords top paying AdWord bid reports using an in-house tool.
In 2006 we released a real time keyword tool, AdSense Accelerator, which finds top keywords based on Google data with estimated searches per day, top Adwords bid prices, competition on Google, and a domain tool. AdSense Accelerator 3.0 is coming in early 2008 with data for matching keywords and CPL and CPC programs from places like Commission Junction.
Thanks for having me here and I hope to be an asset to this community.
Roxanne
PS. Do you think we will be having MobiCons soon with this group - could be alot of fun! :coo2l:

Pred, are you scaring away the newbies? I guess it could have been worse with your mankini.

I'll try to resist Pred - and yeah, I saw the mankini posted in here somewhere :eek2:
Domainitrix and myself, and any other lady .mobis here? Guys you do realize that for most products and services, ladies buy 65% of the purchases (and probably higher in some categories). Sorry to say, but we may have an edge....
Thanks for the nice welcomes.

May? I believe you ladies do have an edge, innately recognizing opportunities that are more difficult for us gents to see. Work it.

Umm, Pred, you've showed up in the wrong gear. When I saw that Roxanne is from Montana my mind was immediately taken to the movie 'A River Runs Through It' with Brad Pitt fly-fishing in the beeaauutiful natural settings of Montana. http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,__1550696_1,00.html
And then you showed up, in ' I heart NY' baseball cap with the matching backdrop. But, what vision it was!- while it lasted!:dontknow:

Welcome to Mobility
POS.Mobi can surely be a killer name for Payment Application linked to Instant Payments via Cell Phones
Hi Roxanne and welcome! We are a fun bunch here. You have some top shelf names there! I think mobility represents the best of the best, so you fit right in.

I see Pred was putting his best foot forward on day one with a suit and tie. I was raised on the East Coast so I know how New Yorkers think that NY is the best place - although Montana is called "the Last Best Place."
It really is beautiful here and I am open to hosting the first .mobi convention in Montana anytime- er, preferably in summer - it's absolutely gorgeous. Only 30 minutes to Glacier National Park http://www.glacierparkinc.com/ (http://www.glacierparkinc.com/)
and I can borrow a lake house on Flathead Lake!

Now if I can just grab some more fantastic .mobis AND wrench Brad Pitt away from that Black Widow Angelina - things would be perfect :five:

YES! we definitely know that the cell will be the POS or Point of Sale, it's a matter of when. Right now point of sale systems refer mainly to retail stores and restaurants scanning and barcode and register systems.
Thanks for the welcome, too.....Rox

Though mostly in Wyoming, I might just make my way up to Montana when I do my mandatory research trip for Yellowstone.mobi :)

Those places look beautiful!
Agreed Roxanne, Pred was putting his best foot forward. Besides, I think he only has two outfits. The mankini & polyester business suit. And I do see him playing cricket, football or even wrestle w/ his suit on.
