I am using BB storm locked with T-Mobile & i found the unlock code from unlocking4u.com . Now my doubt is which is the best method to unlock a mobile by using s/w or by using the code.. May i know the difference between unlocking via code & s/w........

When Unlocking, always use unlocking codes. There are many sites providing unlocking codes. I had a personal experience in unlocking my BB 8900 phone from which is a reliable service unlocks the phone within 30 minutes and also cheap.
