nice to see it got bid up from $499.00 which goes to show that at least two people are still buying!
Social Media is a HUGE term. It's a great buy at that price, "even though it's a .mobi" ;-)

Happy to have made that appraisal and sad that it didn't fetch that much amount. Way to go socialmedia :)

I think its a steal for that name, too...
...I've got SocialSites.mobi....Not quite as good, imo....but, it'll be worth a bit, in time, I reckon.

Hi guys! Yes I am the buyer of this domain. I didnt 100% quit .mobi but drastically changed my opinion of the extension and changed my overall strategy in it. I used to have a portfolio of over 700 ok .mobi names but now I just want to concentrate on having just a handful of mobi names for development purposes. The prices of mobi names are much more reasonable right now too. I still wont spend a fortune on a single name and dont want to have high renewal fees. I now no longer look at a mobi name from a domainer perspective but from a entrepreneur/startup/brand perspective and only focus on certain niches that I know well. Kind of like how the last.fm people didnt look at their site from a domainer perspective but a brand perspective. They could care less how the .fm domain extension does and what the values are of other .fm domains or what people think about .fm in domain forums lol. I also like how there are no longer restrictions on what can be done with .mobi domains now.
Good strategy, Neil, imho... and nice pickup :)

By stacking these time lines on top of one another, your company can create a picture of which efforts are working, and which ones aren't. Over several months, you can graph your progress and watch for correlations between events, such as certain blog articles equaling more customer calls, or positive online mentions and a jump in site visitors.
