Commission Junction is having a free webinar August 6 to detail the features of their pay-per-call program.
I don't know whether or not this will work on a mobi but I am going to attend the webinar to find out and recommend you do the same if you are interested in this.
Details are at http://cj.com You will need your CID # to register. Your CID number can be found next to your name/company name in the upper right corner of the page after you have logged in.
Now you know as much as I do about this.

I belong to cj.com, it seems as though pay per call is the way forward. It pays higher rates than clicks, upto $10 per call.
Now then, this is one niche market that mobi could crack since we use our mobiles.
Thanks for bringing the news to my attention, i will book the meeting.

I have a good feeling about this and .mobi
Commission Junction is excited to introduce the new CJ PayPerCall. Pay-per-call represents a great new opportunity for publishers to earn even more with CJ. In addition to more than a dozen advertisers, like ADT and ServiceMagic, who have launched pay-per-call campaigns for you to promote, we anticipate a very large financial services advertiser launching soon just for pay-per-call. So, we want to make sure you’re up to speed on pay-per-call so you can be among the first in the affiliate marketing industry to take advantage of this opportunity.
Why should you be as excited as we are about CJ’s new pay-per-call platform? That’s easy. Big commissions for doing not much more than you’re already doing today. Pay-per-call is here to stay, and most of our 4-barand 5-bar advertisers are already actively paying attractive commissions for calls as well as online transactions. In fact, the average per-call commission is over $10, and some advertisers pay up to $100 per call. Pay-per-call doesn’t take the place of your online CPA campaigns with these large advertisers. Pay-per-call campaigns are IN ADDITION TO existing CPA campaigns. And our new platform makes it surprisingly easy for publishers to start generating these higher per-call commissions.
To get you up to speed and help you get started, we will be hosting a LIVE DEMO to get all of your questions answered and provide you with the materials you need to start driving high-commission calls for top-brand advertisers.

Does anyone understand how powerful this concept is?
You visit a website on your mobile phone, click to call, on your phone and make anything between $10-$100.
This is amazing compared to clicking ads and getting $.10 per click
This also solves the problem of click fraud.
Most calls will be genuine enquiries.
This concept looks as though its directed more to mobile and pc.
If there is alot of money to be made then many investors will follow this route.
We should see an increase in value to commecial .mobi names.

Thank you for posting this Holly :). And a big congratz on becoming a Mobility Mod. Andres made a great choice.
I look forward to this webinar as monetization is still a big issue with mobile development. It's good to see a leading affiliate site like CJ putting this on.

I blogged about this a month ago. It is based on the Ring Revenue platform and it GREATLY benefits both mibi and tel. I'm still awaiting approval of my application.

Ok, this is the deal,
Register with cj.com
Sign up for Pay Per Call compaign with the relevent Advertisers
You are assigned a free phone no.
Using this no# you can advertise online-blog-website-twitter-facebook
GET THIS
Using this no# you can advertise in 'offline'-posters-flyers-newspaper ads-magazines
The no# follows any site you redirect your customers through click to say ADT's website. This no# appears on the top lefthand corner of the advertisers website, so they know who you are and can track that lead.
Right here's the great bit;
Each call that is made by your customer generates between $10 upto $100 WOW
Obviously the caller has to stay on line for say 5mins for you to benefit.
AND THE KILLER PUNCH COMES FROM THE FACT THAT ON YOUR .MOBI SITE YOU ARE ABLE TO OFFER CLICK TO CALL :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::bigg rin::biggrin::biggrin:
Your dont really take your pc and headphone and microphone out with you while you are "on the go" that would be silly.
This is the tipping point and alot of ppl taking this route will make $$$$$
You imagine you have 14,000 followers on twitter and you notify them all that you recommend a product and say 4% of them click to call your recommendation, thats 560 followers. Now multiply that by min $10, i make it $5600. NOW THATS EASY MONEY
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

The host said there were 1,500 people on the call, but it sounded like there were a lot of advertisers, not just publishers. I bet they are swamped trying to process all of this!
Tim, you said your account is still "pending." So is mine. Has anyone been approved yet for this?
Coast, I had a kids DR appt during the conf call and had to miss it. Do you have a nutshell you could share with me?

great concept, but with only 6 advertisers thus far there isn't much to work with.
You are seeing the very infancy of a very successful company.

You are seeing the very infancy of a very successful company.I certainly do hope so, I'm happy to try the service once there is an advertiser offered that is relevant to my sites.
I had previously tried to offer pay-per-call advertising opportunities on a site but it was a tough sell, as can be the case for new ideas in general...there I go again living on the bleeding edge.

I would say a debt solution advertiser will sign up soon, thats where the money is @ if you will excuse the pun.
The program is a cross sell at CJ. I expect pay per call to become very popular with brick and mortors, call centers, and PORN.
It only took two months from the time RR inked a deal w/ CJ and secured VC funding to get to this point. The next year will be exciting for mobile advertising.
