Halloo!
Many ways: direct sales, ad revenues, contextual linking benefits. My portfolio also brings those seeking a developer but I'd rather build for me than others.
Not telling revenues but I'm living well enough to be paying a @&$)(; load of tax :(
Nowhere near enough! It's never enough :)

Hi Andy,
I'm interested in your direct sales revenue. Could you elaborate on the options for direct sales?
The reason Im asking is because I have a few mobile sites, one of which receives thousands per day, but I am lost as to how I can monetize its full potential. I run ads but it seems that I should be able to make more from it.
Any advice would be very welcome. Meanwhile I'll search this forum a little more.
Once again... so glad I found this site!
Cheers
Will

@WILL - direct sales = stuff I sell to my customers like ringtones and music downloads.
Have you something to sell? Do you want to sell it in the mobile space?

Hey thanks for reply...
I don't particularly have anything to sell so was wondering what you sell and how you sell it.. affiliates etc.
Are these ringtones and music downloads directly sold by you or do you use an affiliate like Jamba/Jamster etc..
Im interested in selling in the mobile space as I have quite a bit of mobile traffic spread over several projects but havnt found something good to sell.
Cheers

We host and manage a library of over 50,000 downloads, we've got premium SMS connections in 17 or so countries and use http://payforit.mobi/ for both single drop sales and subscriptions in the UK.
I love PayForIt! :)
It lets us bill users up to £10.00 - single or subscription, generic or adult content.
We also use PayPal both on the web and mobile site but PayPal Mobile is <1% of transactions plus we have premium rate phone lines on the website and NoChex too, an alternative to PP.
And yes we cross link to other providers out there in territories we can't service such as the US where PSMS and mobile web / carrier billing are nightmares to sort out.
I want the coverage Bango offer for billing but don't want to do business with them when they charge what I'd consider to be stupid fees. I'd love to do business with Ericsson but they fees they charge make Bango seem cheap as chips!
This space is crying out for a decent payment solution!

i am starting a web community membership site which i will have members from asia as well as europe. is there an SMS revenue service provider that covers internationally or would i need to try and tie up wil local providers in each country?
Any idea how i should go about doing this?

you can sell mobile apps and content through Pocket Brand, host it on your own website too! So your own website is a mobile website, then as it gets famous, you put ads on it, or people will come to you to advertise. Make money that way. Pocketbrand dot com!
