:bandit:I started aquiring MOBI's 1 yr ago as a hobby to toy with. After I hit 2000 I began to realize this is an ADDICTION out of control, so i better get serious with it. I flew to Miami TRAFFIC to meet Pinky, and found KW AKA "KIWI" and she told me i needed to be in Mobility to network with my colleagues! I have approx 20 books on the mobile web under my belt covering all aspects from Mobile Logic Platforms, Mobile Marketing, Mobile Web Development, and Int'l Mobile Studies. I welcom all inquiries & input from my esteemed colleagues!

Hi Mobimogul--nice to have you join us. What do you know about Nosara? I regged it as a geo-mobi if for no other reason than to give me an excuse to write off travel expenses if I ever make it to Costa Rica. My understanding is that it is a pretty quaint coastal town on the Pacific. Ever been there? I would love to visit sometime--it looks beautiful.

Hello from Austin Texas :)

I've never been to Cost Rica but hear it is a fabulous place to check out. I've been to Belize and Nicaragua though. I hope and pray that Belize will become one of my 2nd homes in the future :)

I look forward to hearing more about your mobile
plans, ideas, and dreams. Many here are very devoted to seeing MOBI developed and marketed in timely fashion as the mobile internet revolution begins to expand. I would love to see the book list if it is available.

Cheers and best wishes,

C.T. Kirkpatrick

MobiMogul, It is great to welcome you here. I am sure that you will add positively to the mobility.mobi forum. Your momentum will be obvious to all, as it was to me when we met at Traffic Miami! You are going to learn so much here as well.

Welcome aboard. Wow, 2,000 can you imagine the renewals next yr. Sounds like MoAA might be less expensive. But, then just one good name could pay the expenses of the treatment.

Just kiddin... by the way. Get a list of your G-rated developed .mobi s and will put in the SearchingMobi Directory.

My favorite of all time is "Mobile Media and applications-from concept to cash" published by Wiley and authored by Christoffer Andersson...c 2006
I think it should be required reading by any body with a vested interest in the mobile world. If you mail me at mobimogul@hotmail.com i will send ya some more!!

Wow, glad to hear that about Nosara from someone who has been there! I tried to get Tamarindo.mobi but it was taken long before I got around to it. I have several Latin American mobis in languages other than English--I have listed them all at www.mobiharbour.com (http://www.mobiharbour.com).

I also have several caribbean island mobis which, if not part of the "true" latin america, are at least in the neighborhood: caymans.mobi, peterisland.mobi, saintgeorge.mobi, stbarts.mobi, stcroix.mobi, stkitts.mobi, stmalo.mobi, stthomas.mobi and thebahamas.mobi. Hoping to develop most of them in the (fairly) near future.

What about you--got a list of your geos?

Welcome! And already I've got a question for you...

It so happens that one of my geo .mobis is from Costa Rica...could you let me know what you think?

PuertoViejo.mobi

Is Puerto Viejo a popular city there? I got that impression but would like to know from someone with firsthand experience...

puerto viejo is a small beach town...there is not much development there or tourism....it is a nice town...and there is alot of development in costa rica now...so it could be valuable in the next few years as development continues.....hope this helps....
