I would like to be able to charge a small fee for access to a mobile site on a per session basis and have the charge debited to the user's phone account.
I know this can be done through an intermediary such as Bango, but they are too expensive for a small site.
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks,

hi museum tracker,
if your charging 4.99 USD or less for access i would suggest using http://txtnation.com your money is held for a period of 90 days but they charge a hefty fee as do all other billing companies that enable sms billing.

Txtnation would not be in my list of chosen providers.
mx telecom
mblox
They would be my two preferred providers

Yes, thanks for these tips.
I've looked through the PayForIt site and a couple of their suggested intermediaries, like mblox.
In essence, it appears to me that these sites seem to basically be transaction services.
Ideally I would like a service that handles the transactions as above, but also actively markets the content offered by their member content providers. I know that Bango for example has a Directory, but this is really only passive marketing. How many of the 'thumb tribe' know about Bango's Directory?
I would expect that such a service would take a huge commission on sales - but, hey, a small percentage of something is much better than 100% of almost nothing.
So, my question is:
Is there anyone offering this sort of service?
Thanks in advance,
David Berghouse
