I recall quite a discussion on DNF not too long ago where the naysayers were ripping the very notion of someone wanting to view porn on a mobile device was stupid. This was in a thread of how the porn industry might grow tremendously thanks to the .mobi and mobile internet and how porn maybe good for the .mobi.

Well, needless to say quite a flame war ensued.

I used the example of simply giving them the benefit of the doubt and only 1% of nearly 4 billion phones were being used to surf porn. That was still 4 million. Pretty good numbers.

The reality is... a study I read not too long ago stated nearly 30% have used the phone for viewing or sending obscene material. That's 1 billion, 200 million phones (1,200,000,000). Not bad numbers at all.
