Just privately sold WellingtonNZ dot mobi a couple weeks ago for $750 and I had just hand regged it a few days before selling it.
Nice work!! Was it a recent drop?
This one may very well be used soon:

yea it was dropped in november and never picked up. i'm almost positive the lady who bought it from me is affiliated in some way with the .com so if i wanted to wait it out for a year or two i probably could have gotten much much more but decided to sell anyway. 100x return on my money in a few days isnt bad. the .com is the main tourism site for that city i think so it would be nice to see them build and promote the .mobi.

Definitely a great, fast return on your money!
And yep, from what I read on her site it looks like she was the development coordinator for the WellingtonNZ.com site. Hopefully it'll be put to good use! :)
Did you contact her about it, or did she contact you?

thanks, she contacted me through email. its the best thing when end users email you, it makes it very easy to get the sale. its very hard to even get replies when you contact the end users even if you have the perfect domain for them.

Yes, congrats nrmillions to your 'quick' sale. It's a nice geo domain. But heck, we all want to keep them all, in case 'something' comes along! But I've now accepted that 'some' names have just got to 'do their duty' and be 'sacrificed' for the betterment of one's immediate financial pipeline, and help stock funds for those primo names we have!

Is there any way you could invite them to mobility when the site has been developed? We would love to hear from them. Congratulations to both parties!

Great result.
Nice sale!
Great to see innovative New Zealander's buying up .mobis.
If anyone else has .mobis relating to New Zealand and you'd like more information on cities, places, sites or services I'm happy to help out and provide some local knowledge.

yea i also just noticed the domain now redirects to m.wellingtonnz.com
still makes sense for them to have the .mobi just incase and makes sense why they wouldnt want to pay a fortune for the mobi when their main mobile strategy is now the m dot.
I am definitely starting to notice "m dot" being used more and more lately. I have ***ered many mobi names to potential end users lately and very often their response is that m dot is the standard for the mobile web now.
