I'm hoping this is big news!

My Artist Network project now handles subdomains.

ANYONE CAN NOW ADD THEIR OWN BANDS TO THE NETWORK WITHOUT THE NEED OF A .MOBI ADDRESS AND I'LL SPLIT ADS 50% / 50%

This means anyone and I mean anyone can setup a music fansite on the mobile web in seconds and earn ad revenue from it with no expense.

To get started all you need to do is answer this simple question:

WHO'S YOU'RE FAVOURITE BAND?

Answer here: http://artistnetwork.mobi/?m=add

Example: If your answer is Amy Whinehouse enter amywhinehouse.artistnetwork.mobi as the URL, enter Amy Whinehouse as the artist then enter both your Google Publisher ID and your AdMob Site ID to earn 50% or ad impressions on that site.

If you don't have those ID's yet you can still get started and edit your sites later.

All sites that get added get tweeted: http://twitter.com/artistnetwork

This is a massive opportunity for anyone to have their own mobile web fansite and earn the ad impressions.

A couple of hints to help you get better traffic quicker:

Pick band names that are touring - lots of traffic is coming into the network for people wanting tour information.

Pick bands that have a lot of songs - this gives your site more content and will produce more pages of lyric content

Pick bands / artists that have a lot of listeners at last.fm - this is a good indication of the popularity of an artist

Think outside the box - there are hundreds of thousands of artists out there, it costs nothing except a few seconds to add a site to the network so thinking outside the box will help you bring in the long tail keywords that fewer folk will be aiming to pick up traffic with

Have fun!!!

Nice addition, Andy.

I like to propose that double listings are excluded. How would the artist network manage a listing of, letīs say "Deeppurple" as a subdomain parallel to the listing of the domain deeppurple.mobi? In this case, which site would be the winner by views? :hmmmm2:

Hi Blitz,

I've just edited the add site application to now check for the URL in the database as well as perform a check on the artist, it will now refuse duplicate listings.

This should stop anyone from setting up deeppurple.artistnetowkr.mobi when deeppurple.mobi already has the artist "Deep Purple" listed.

Thanks for prompting me to sort that!!

Last night someone added about 25 sites while I was out on the razz drinking Jack Daniels, that's a result!

Andy,

added demilovato.mobi a few days ago

just put a few more on for the younger fans

No problem with adding them as subdomains

A few showed up on my admin list and a few did not display.

PM'd you the details.

Your network is getting bigger each day.

Thanks.

Bob
