Ide like to see an appraisel setup where by i(we) could post my(our) whole portfolio and next to each domain name, perhaps our reserves or what we feel the domains are worth.....at any time anyone can paste their portfolio and their prices, or value estimates. Others can then come along and quote your portfolio and next to your estimate price they can give their estemated appraisel, leaving their mobility ID. Going on previous sales and keeping the HUGE market thats is mobile and cell phone internet in perspective, we can evaluate and discuss and help one another as well as see others opinions....as time goes on, with discussion and as people quote the portfolio and keep adding their opinions and price estemates...perhaps we can consolidate the TRUE value of what we are looking at and get the bigger picture. I believe that .mobi domains will superceed .com whether they like it or not, its just a matter of time and the right affiliating and promotion etc....so yeah....its not like you would have to give an estemate of every name in someones portfolio, perhaps you just do 5 or 10 of what you think are their best(or a few u think are worth more or less than previous estemates)....they then may return the favour, u then come back and maybe add to theirs with another 5-10 or so, looking at what others have been estemating and saying. I really believe this will be more fruitful than 1 appraisal at a time where it seems no one says anything????? Any opinions from Mods or Members etc will be greatly appreciated.....perhaps we do this in the members only area???? TY
uniting.mobi affiliating.mobi knowledgeable.mobi directindex.mobi insightful. etc ps together we will take IT over!!!!!!!!!! so shall IT be .mobi

Gets real hard (time consuming) to do when people have hundreds/thousands of .mobis. If people were willing to trim their list down to 5 or 10 names (I think most of us can reasonably figure out our best 10) and then ask questions on what we think of those (rather than asking us to find your best 10 out of hundreds/thousands), it would make the process much easier and more enjoyable for everyone (because people will be more willing to appraise your names) imho.

There was a thread with this going on a while ago, http://mobility.mobi/showthread.php?t=2145. I think it slowed as it got difficult to keep track of which portfolios where reviewed or not.
What I would suggest for anyone who wants to solicit others to post the top 5 of their portfolio is to request it in your own member portfolio thread here. http://mobility.mobi/forumdisplay.php?f=31
As far as valuations though, let's face it, It's only a guess and will change over time. Picking 5 favorites is one thing, trying to assign market value to them is another. In the end there is only one price valuation that counts, thats the one set between a real buyer and seller.

yeah tnx Scandi...i tend to jump ahead at times, my IQ lacks logic and just see's a big vision without thinking it through. I agree, a name is only worth what someone pays. I just figure we are really onto the future. I have kinda always been ahead of the times(a visionary) i patented a jet bodyboard in 1997( i think i may have mentioned it...i have many other ideas also) my time will come, as will all the .mobi domainers. Guess im just gunna have to keep learning patience.

Josh on namepros created estibot.com, and said that it was very difficult to appraise .mobi names because of the wild fluctuations. That's an automated program and a human will know the value of a phrase better.
I wrote a post on NP basically dividing the .mobi sellers into two camps - those who believed the bad press and bailed with low prices and those who buy and sell high because they see the future value. Now that premium auction figures are in we may see the overall average sale go up. I look at http://www.namebio.com to get a rough estimate on how the market is going and what comparable .com/.net/.de names final sales figures are.

Im so glad i found this site, its gunna save me and already has saved me plenty of time that i would otherwise have wasted, and money wasted also. Im most definately hanging in there for the long run as just the sedo..unconfirmed sales yet..of $860k for 80 odd names is more than enough proof of where things are heading....also i noticed sedo has moved .mobi up in the search list to premium names and also godaddy now has .mobi in every search result losing .us in the 5 or so results ya get back. Love ya work guys..tnx coast
