have a look at what they offer... www.imonetize.com (http://www.imonetize.com) as they seem pretty impressive, do a who.is as to who they are and no i havent used yahoo. theres another huge company called admob.mobi or perhaps its .com and as far as i can tell they are growing at a rapid rate and already the largest online with hundreds of millions of ads and growing.

I have AdMob on all of my current sites, and the CTR is pretty bad. And even when I do get a click, it is usually 1 or 2 cents. My understanding is that AdMob serves up ads in a random fashion (i.e., the ad most likely won't have anything to do with the content of the site) which makes it very unlikely that a user will click through. I'm working on a batch of 10 new mobis, and they will have ads through Google Adsense (which I believe is supposed to take the site's content into account when choosing ads for it), so it will be interesting to compare the results.

That's perfect MM, you'll have a solid comparison, assuming your next 10 are geo's also.

6 will be, but that should suffice. I may also start transitioning AdMob to AdSense if early indications are good.
I applied months ago and haven't heard squat since. At least with the adsense mobile roll out, you don't need to apply. I'll be trying them out. Also, don't forget about doubleclick mobile too. I wonder if they'll have mini banners or something...
I just hired seanboy to start building out sfv. I'll be looking at all ad options. I've made $0.10 in 3 months at admob on about 1000 uniques per statcounter. It's retarded. Is anyone making any money at admob?

Hi,
We use AdMob and make about 10 000 dollars a month. And the CTR is around 6 percent. So I don't understand what the issues you guys have. Also you can set the minimum amounts so that you cn alets say accept adds only above 5 cents for example.
We also work with Nokia Adservices and ScreenTonic (Microsoft) for banner ads. This is it is true more targeted.
cheers

Very nice Shaun. $10,000 per month is huge, particularly this early in the game. If you don't mind me asking, how many sites is the $10,000 spread over?
very impressive
just been to mobiharbour.com
you got some great names. wish i'd nailed a load of L-L.mobi
wondered where they all went :frown:

Thx. Right now they are the closest thing there is to a 2 letter mobi. Some big companies have regged some, so maybe it will catch on (i.e., Johnson & Johnson has j-j and k-y). I've been talking to another guy who owns more than me--together we have over 50% of the 676 possible combinations. Now just need the buyers!!

i don't think they are offering to individuals this mobile ads because they don't ask for your mobile url etc asks for company name and phone number etc !

You can fill anything in on AdMob... for the company. But in reality you can be a company or an individual. Many of the users in our contest : http://igloo.mobi/admob_contest.php are individuals.. and win and redeem their winnings on AdMob.
Cheers
Shaun
