Video restaurant mobile site launched exclusively for iPhone users
WEBWIRE (http://www.webwire.com/) – Wednesday, October 10, 2007
According to restaurateur Pete Thomas, the 3 most important aspects of choosing a restaurant are being able to see it, call for reservations, and know how to get there. iPhone users can now do just that at Restaurantslive.mobi.
Specifically designed for iPhone users, they can view videos of top restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, be connected with one touch dialing to make reservations, and get door to door directions.
This new iPhone website has both a Wi-Fi version and content encoded as well for Edge networks. "The high demand for video informational content delivery coupled with consumer demand from mobile users" says Pete Thomas, "was a key reason for developing this specific mobile distribution network" Located in San Mateo, California, the parent company OmnivisionLive has been producing streaming windows media since 2003 for desktop users.
