Just regged Vetting.mobi Term with numerous uses!

Hi all just regged Vetting.mobi, i'd like some input from people across the pond on this one, in the UK vetting means to check the history like a credit check, the most popular reason why is for renting property and the like. Is it a used expression in the USA or Canada???

I'm familiar with the term, but it's not very commonly used here in the U.S. Could be a good typo for "betting," though! :D

I also never have heard of vetting, but upon research, I think it has potential. Kind of rolls off of the tongue. :p

It's a term mainly used to 'vet' potential lodgers and people going into sensitive jobs such as government/nursing/armed forces. I was quite surprised with the amount of people advertising on adsense with it! There's quite a few companies that could hopefully be potenial buyers!
