Can you integrate maps? Are any of them free?

technical and legal/commercial question, not sure why google and msn aren't very informative about this - do they have other plans to make money out of this?

The google maps are free to integrate BUT depend on Ajax (JavaScript) so they won't work on a phone, and anyway they depend on a mouse/pointing device.

Google offer maps for phones but not for integration AFAIK

Microsoft's Live Earth? also JavaScript, both that and Google I can get into a tiny window the size of a mobile screen but its useless on a mobile.

Multimap offer pre JavaScript maps BUT you have to pay to integrate them and if you link to them they'll be too big for your screen.
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&ukwidth=289&ukheight=301&scale=2000000&lang=&overviewmap=GB_over&db=&g.x=210&g.y=238

Multimap will send a map to your phone for a fee.

So are there any maps you can just link to?

(saw the Pilot thread but it seems to be instructions, not maps.)

Hi Pilot sounds really good but the demo on their site only gives directions, not a map. Anyone have an example of a working Pilot map?

On their site they say fill in the form to contact them but the form isn't there!
And they should get rid of links labelled "click here".

Good feedback that I'm sure the owner will want to know about. I'll point him here for further input.

Hi gogo! Thanks for pointing out some erroneous wording on my site. I've changed it and should be ok now.

If you have a site that you'd like to incorporate maps or driving directions, just let me know your site name via pm and I'll help you out.

Thank You.
