mobi sales auctions development

reading this forum i realize a lot of people are in the sale - buy business of mobis while it seems they are not really interested on making the mobile web a better and bigger place making more and better mobi sites.

i don't see that as a bad thing, actually i am sure that is contributing too in the mobile web growing someway or the other.

i am a developer, i also saw on this forum that this mobi domain trades need a development done as the name can be repossessed and that is where i will like to focus, maybe develop quick sites 5/5 ready.mobi, very cheap so people will not have any issue.

why domains names need to be develop? where i can learn more about this ? or someone can explain me more ?

there is a list of domains sold by MTLD at auction at Sedo that come with the requirement that they must be developed with good content, related to the domain name, within 9 months of the sale. They must score 5/5. All are "premium domains" ie one word key search terms. The most recent auction was 12 November I think.
