Is tastedrop your website?

Looks like it's for Windows only.

This is a windows only application.

TasteDrop is a service we were running until probably 2 days ago. It was a failed business plan so we went back to catching only for ourselves and selling drop tools.

Thanks for explaining. So when people submit names now, I guess it lets you know what to pickup for yourself.

Nah, we have access to the lists ourselves. I told Dan to stop accepting the submissions but he said instead that he will still chase .com's and .net's for people just no .mobi's unless they are one we do not want.

With 300-500 .mobi drops there isn't anything that's going to get past us on our own. I have been doing this for years, I don't need help.

The odd part here for me is that if as you say you won't chase mobi's for others unless they are ones you do not want, that means you are evaluating submissions to see if you want to have them for yourselves first and if not you then pick them up for your clients. I respect that you can operate your service as you see fit but that's not exactly what I would call putting your clients first. :dontknow::hmmmm2: If I'm misunderstanding something here please clarify.

Also, does the software package work through your systems or directly with Enom?

I do not evaluate submissions, I don't know how many times I can say that before people actually believe it. I am guessing I can't.

I get my domains from snapnames, I am chasing 2 tonight. I am now only chasing for myself except for a few exceptions that I will make on a case by case basis.

Dan is my partner in a lot of things. He created all of the drop tools. We do not look at submissions and pick out domains for ourselves. Most of the stuff that is submitted is not stuff I would touch and would never want.

Ask Dagersh, I am chasing for him tomorrow. He submitted a list directly to me and I only removed maybe 3-4 that I was already going after myself. Clearly I am after every lll.mobi and any super generic terms.

The windows desktop drop tool works directly through Enom. It's not some magic trick that puts the domains you catch into my account. Sheesh.

I can vouch for Jason too... (& Dan ;-) Picked up a couple for me recently.....

Looks like there's competition out there now though! ;-)

Thanks man. Honestly we are good for the .mobi world, competition is good, it increases the demand for these domains and the value. I am sorry if we are pissing off the few domainers who had an "in" on everything.

In a few weeks I am sure there will be 100 more people just like us.

Thanks for taking the time to explain things in more detail, both the situation at tastedrop and how your software functions.

Yeah, well we are no longer looking for customers. We took a beating on deadbeat bidders and the ones we did catch we didn't make enough money on.

We are now only into selling drop tools and flipping domains.
