As we look to the strength in numbers on our forum, and ask people to digg and stumble our sites and mtld press releases, it occurs to me that some people on this board might not know how.:hmmmm2::dontknow:

If you want to learn to use social media, please add your name to this thread and what time zone you are on. I'd be happy to put together an interactive webinar using the chat (for links) and an audio component such as blogtalkradio or talkshoe where we can discuss how to use this phenomenal tool.

Please also add which social media you would like to learn to use, and we can cover most of them, i.e. twitter, blogging, social bookmarking (del.icio.us, digg, mixx, stumbleupon, bmarks.mobi, etc.)

If there is enough interest, we can have a great exchange. This will be a dialog and not a one-way conversation.

Thanks!

hi coast, as a webmaster i know what is social media and i used them a few times to promote my sites or services.
the thing is i don't really know how to use them in a better way, to me until now social media is just another way of promotion not better than a 90' linklist.

my name is Jorge, i am from Uruguay, my local time is NYC+1, i am interested in all social media aspects except blogging.

also, i have several problems with my English, specially to talk, i can write and listen pretty well but i have problems in the talking, so if you don't mind i am also interested in the dialog thing for practice my english :)

thanks.

I'm looking at blogtalkradio, talkshoe, and ustream. I probably won't use ustream because I don't like to be on camera. I'm looking for something that will show what I am doing onscreen, which is kind of hard to find. If any of you know of a service that allows that, please let me know.

Hi everyone, I am thinking maybe a skype group chat (typed, not voice) is the way to go on this. The simpler it is, the more likely it is to actually happen. Your thoughts?

Don't worry, I won't be discussing the Theory of Evolution :laugh:How about politics? A case study on Obama's use of the internet might be fascinating even if you voted for his opponent.
