I have a powerpoint presentation that is being used to sell sponsorship of my future mobi site. It isn't developed but I still have lots of interest from advertisers. If anyone wants a copy, let me know and I would be happy to email it to you.

Very nice!! A lot of thought and effort clearly went into this. I love the fact that the site will get exposure through other (traditional) marketing avenues--great for the site as well as mobi generally. A couple of thoughts/comments:
1. Slide 3 says that in 2005, 48% of cell phones were internet ready. There are a few other references to 2004 and 2005. Do you have any 2007 (or 2006) numbers? I bet they would make an even better case for why the mobile web is the next big thing.
2. The graphic on slide 12 says $100,000 but the text says $1,000,000.
3. Could you explain how the chance to win the $1,000,000 would work? I assume it would be difficult for anyone to actually win it, and in any event would be backed by insurance?
Thanks again--I'm quite impressed with what you have been able to with this--rep on the way.

Thanks for the comments.
1) I do have some recent information but have not updated yet due to time issues. I will see what I can do about getting that done this weekend and repost.
2) I will get that fixed...no one ever noticed that. :)
3) The $1,000,000 contest would be backed by insurance. The likelyhood of anyone winning it isn't that good, but it would be nice if someone did. That might get a little national press even. The thing I really liked about this contest is the actual rules.
- People have to supply me with information to participate.
They will provide a name, along with phone numbers and email.
- Each day people that sign on will be asked a different question.
These question give me the info I need to find my true target.
- I will have cellular company involved in promotion.
Go Wireless is the largest T-Mobile distributer in Kansas
- For being a sponsor they will show people in their store how to
use the internet on phones, going to wichitaweather.mobi as
the example. They will also have kiosks in the malls on
weekends showing people how to use their cell phones to
access the internet.
I hope that explains a little. I am planning on doing alot of mobi this work this weekend. I should be in chat starting about 7pm Central time in the States.

mediaadvantages, this is a great working document. Thanks very much for sharing. Rep added.
I agree 1,000% that we need to go after direct advertising agreements to fully monetize our names. Did a bunch of research in Reno this past week for Reno.mobi with similar objectives (also caught a show there too, got to live a little ;)). Casinos, hotels, restaurants, shops, malls, etc. So much potential to bring in direct advertising revenue.
I very much like your tiered approach with 4 different packages. Anyone who is considering going after advertising revenue I'd suggest requesting an advertising kit form your local TV and radio stations and newspapers to see what advertisers are accustomed to seeing.

It was a long weekend here and Kansas and nothing seemed to go according to plan. I hope to be on here later tonight to discuss some ideas. Anyone that needs help in marketing this way. I would be happy to guide you.
