It's that time again to vote for your favorite .mobi site for the October 2008 award. The nominees are:

Poop.mobi (http://Poop.mobi) - 4/5 - thebiffenator
SDCA.mobi (http://SDCA.mobi) - 5/5 - Gerry

Congratulations to the both of you on being nominated!

Poll is set to close in 24 hours.

Good luck!

Sorry folks (and Gerry), I just found out that SDCA.mobi is more than 3 months old and is therefore ineligible to be nominated for the .mobi of the Month award:

To be nominated, a .mobi site must:

Be a site owned by a Mobility member who has a post count of at least 30 and has been a member for at least 1 month (to discourage new members from joining just to have their sites nominated).
Not be yours (to keep the number of nominations down).
Score at least a 4/5 on Ready.mobi (http://ready.mobi/) (to encourage proper development).
Be no more than 3 months old (to promote new sites and encourage new developments).
Have never previously won .mobi of the month (to give other sites a chance)
Not be adult or offensive in nature (to keep it clean).

To be fair, I'm forced to play by the rules and remove SDCA.mobi from the nomination.

But it doesn't end there. After analyzing Poop.mobi more carefully, it could not only be construed as "offensive" for its subject matter alone, but it also specifically contains an 18+ Adult section, violating our last rule above, so I can't in good conscience remove SDCA.mobi for violating one rule and note remove Poop.mobi for violating another, so I'm forced to play by the rules again and remove Poop.mobi from the nomination as well. (Sorry thebiffenator!)

That leaves us in a bit of a pickle with no Nominee for October. So I'm starting a new 24-hour lightning nomination round here (http://mobility.mobi/showthread.php?p=75657#post75657). Check out the New .mobi sites Developed by Members (http://mobility.mobi/forumdisplay.php?f=54) to find one you like for you to nominate, just make sure it follows all the rules above.

Andres, I've got to agree with your call on this as unpopular as it may be.

Both of these .mobi sites are worthy of praise and recognition but the nomination guidelines of this contest are clear in these regards.

Gerry, pm me if any of your other dozens of sites are 5/5 - if you used the new version of Joomla and Jasonn's (I think it is Jasonn, or is it Jasdon?) fixes for the tables, it should score in that range. For all the sites you've made I'm sure there's an MOTM in there.

However, none are updated to score higher than 3/5.

If you have a link to the J names you are referring to, would greatly appreciate it.
