Location based systems are becoming more and more prevalent every day, with innovative applications that make use of location, like FireEagle, and Google Maps for Mobile, popping up all the time. We've just published the first part of a two-part piece on Location via CellID (http://www.mobiforge.com/developing/story/adding-location-a-non-gps-phone-introducing-opencellid), and the open source database of CellIDs, OpenCellID.
