Thank you for all of the work that you have done to put Mobility together.

I'm finding it a bit more difficult to keep up with the latest posts because there are so many more sub-forums. For example, couldn't we merge the "News" and "Discussion" forums. That was one thing that I liked about NamePros, was that there was one place to go to check for the latest posts. I now have to look at the timestamps across multiple subforums to find the latest post. I've always found forums easier to use when there is one main place to interact, and then specialty subforums.

Is it just me? Perhaps I'll get used to it over time. It just feels a bit more scattered than the NamePros forum.

Just my humble opinion.

Hi EZ,

It is very different having a whole site dedicated to mobi instead of just one subforum. I agree it is a bit difficult to distinguish between News and Discussion. We'll see what Andres has to say. But a navigation tip I'd like to suggest is try out the New Posts in the top menu. it scours the whole site and shows the latest posts in one list so it is easy to see what is happening site-wide.

Thanks...I think that suggestion solves my dilemma.
Interested in the output of the news/discussion forums. What happens when the news turns into a discussion!

Hi Ezinaz,

Ya, I think there is still some confusion on categories etc. I use the "new posts" link top and center of the forum bar to help me try and keep up.

Are you a MAG member or where did you get the press release that early? You beat me by 8 minutes :D

Best wishes,

C.T.

Defintly a cool thing, maybe somwhere on the top you could list it as an easier option (for example move the button over to the extreme left? Or maybe classic view option or something to view threads? (basicly more visiable) :) Just a thought from a dunce.

But until you said it scandi, I didn't know how to find the new posts (and yes I am a little polish lol)

Hi guys, thanks for your feedback.

The reason I like having the NEWS and DISCUSSION separate is because it makes it easy to see all the latest news about .mobi (you just have to click on "News" and you can scan the latest headlines, which are naturally sorted from newest to oldest). Of course, if you want to discuss the news, you can discuss it in that very same thread where the news was announced. The Discussion forum is basically for discussing .mobi stuff that does not fit in any other sub-forum. This separation in general helps to keep the discussion focused and organized, making it easier to find, and ask, for the information you're looking for, especially as we grow bigger.

Considering the "New Posts" feature at the top that Scandi mentioned, I think this is the best way to go about it. Having said that, if most of you want to merge News and Discussion, let me know and I'll do it.
