OK this could be my next developement.

What I need to do is research on ringtunes/tones ect... Preferably I want them for free that I can just ad to my site. The theme is hip-hop ringtones. Only because the name I am using is Blings. It kind of sounds like rings, and Bling is a newely added dictionary term this time last year and should be popular with the younger gernation I am hoping :)

Does anyone know of any sugesstions of where to get generic ringtones for hip hop music, it can also be house music/techno ect... Or can anyone offer any advice for affiliate programs that sponsor this? I want Blings to be very simple at first to test it out until the end of 07 and if it takes off then awsome. So basicly even if blings redirects to an affiliate site and i get paid that would be awsome as well. Just like sexgoesmobile and xobile.

i just want to get this up and running and indexed/Branded ASAP.

Hi Brian,

I've tried myself many times on doing the same thing, but finding mobile content is not easy, you must pay for everything, and the affiliate programs are crap, also charging for mobile content is a pain in the a.., the fees for using Bango.com is very high (80%) of the sale for Bango.com!

It's hard, i must tell you that.

You could check out mediaplazza and see what they could do for you, alternatively check out some of the local bands / musicians and possibly do a deal with them about converting some of their music and doing a share basis with them on the ringtones? Possibly even spend an afternoon in a recording studio with some new rappers / groups in the area?

If you have a mac and can do garageband, you can make some up yourself. I like newton's idea of promoting a new hip hop group. You could do a search on unsigned hip hop or rap artists, or team up with an independent label.
