SingTel is Asia's leading communications group with operations and investments in more than 20 countries and territories around the world.

Next generation mobile payment applications will soon be available through a collaboration between NETS and SingTel.

In trials to be carried out in the later part of the year, SingTel users will be able to wirelessly top up cash stored in their mobile phones.

The technology being tested out will mean people will no longer need to carry cash or wallets when they go out.

That's a pretty slick site on the PC, but clearly I'm not seeing a mobile version. Anyone want to take a look at it on their cellphone? Matt?

I am looking at it on the Helio Ocean. The Ocean auto creates a site to fit the screen, which can be misleading.

When I hit HTML mode, it is clearly a full .com web site and mentions at the bottom

Best viewed in with IE 5 or Netscape 6.0 or higher.

The .mobi site is exactly like the .com.

Naturally we all want to see mobi compliant sites. But I think when you get into companies this size and magnitude, I can almost accept the fact that they are building brand awareness for the .mobi and creating a market. Hopefully all will come together.
