Has anyone had a successful experience signing up with Yahoo Mobile Search Marketing? I've filed no less that four applications spanning six months and haven't even had a confirmation response.

I called the standard YSM team and they told me you have to "know someone" to get approved. Luckily the guy I talked to knew a guy who knows a guy. I'm holding my breath...

Seriously YSMM, WTF!?

Here is an update. Yahoo Mobile Search Marketing Sucks. They don't want the little guy. Put your money into admob or google. At least you know what to expect from those two. Yahoo seems so pretentious and upper caste, like you'd be the chosen one to give them your advertising dollars.

I applied to Yahoo Mobile four times, called twice and was stood up once by some guy who sounded half sincere and half snide in his correspondence. I had called (for the 2nd time) to inquire why none of my FOUR applications had even been addressed over the course of SIX MONTHS or so. His reply was "I got your information from a handful of reps here at Yahoo." He wanted to talk today and asked what an appropriate time was. I replied immediately and didn't hear back with a conflict so I thought we were all well and good. Not. I got a no call / no show today. My first question about all this is, well, what the **** were those handful of reps waiting for and why did I get passed off to you, Pat? I'm not sure if it was detention or the principals office, but I tell you what I did. I told them to stuff their ****ty response time and attitude. It's no wonder that Yahoo gets killed by Google. They are retards when it comes to addressing their clients sometimes. All I wanted to do was to spend some money with Yahoo to promote pulpfiction. /rant /catharsis

Yeah it's ridiculous you can't just sign up and spend money with them!

What a joke.
