Australian registrars and .mobi

It was interesting to note that going through all of Australia's registrars
(23 registrars in Australia) only 3 of them are actually promoting .mobi through their site!
one registrar charges $29AUSyr, another $39AUSyr, the third $102.00 yr.
Prices aside! they are the only ones actively promoting the extension.
Every year companies/businesses large and small renew their .com, net, .org etc. How will they ever find out that the extention exists if not even their registrars are making them aware of .mobi

Do registrars in your country promote .mobi?

I would assume (and this may sound silly) that anyone anywhere can take advantage of GoDaddy, Moniker, Answerable, and many other less than $10.00 per year.

I would hate to think that anyone would fall for those outrageous prices. That is like the emails that I get on a daily basis as reminder to renew my domains.

Their special pricing? $79.99 per dot com per year.

Well at the start I wasn't aware of cheaper registrars such as godaddy, moniker etc. I just thought I live in Australia, have a business in Australia, so I'll just register a name with an Australian registrar. Forums such as these made me aware of cheaper alternatives.
Who knows how many other people think like that!
